DRUG LEGALIZATION

In 2020 the State of New York legalized the use of marijuana as a recreational drug. The State made it the choice of each municipality to allow the sales of marijuana and many municipalities are refusing the sale of marijuana in their areas. While I agree with each municipality having the right to determine if they want the sale of marijuana in their areas, I do not like that the people do not have the choice. I think that in order to approve or disapprove the sales, it needs to be an individual subject that the citizens vote on.

Additionally, I would create legislation that would legalize any drug that can be grown and used in its natural form without any synthetics done to them as long as the drug is not mind altering.
